[Feb 13th] Welcome to the Bliss Bakery, Keystone Station Division [Video]

[The video that appears on the screen is pretty blurry, with the girl in the image trying desperately to center it on herself and failing. Still, the bright smile on her face is pretty obvious.]

Oh, erm-is this recording yet? [She clears her throat.] Well, I hope it is...hi everybody! My name is Coriander Bliss, and I'm representing the Bliss Family Bakery here! Although don't be fooled by that name-I can definitely do things besides bake!

Anyways, the kitchen's got a bunch of stuff, so I'll do my best to try and make something new every day! I'm letting you all know so that if you have any requests, you can tell me! Plus if you recognize some of the stuff in there, that'd also be useful.

Plus, I can make enchanted snacks as well, that can boost your abilities in various ways! Just let me know what kind of advantage you'd like and I'll do my best to make you your own special batch!

Oh, sure! I'm staying in room 14-close to the kitchen! Does that work for you?

That's fine. I'll be there shortly.

[A few minutes later, knock knock!]

[Cori smiles as she opens the door.] Oh, hi! Come in, come in! [She waves him into her room, which is...fairly sparse-looking. There's a mushroom creature sitting by the bed as well, who waves with one limb.]

Is it okay if Fern listens in? I promise she's very good at keeping secrets.

[foolishjustice]

[That pattern looks...oddly familiar.]

That's fine, I just don't want two specific people finding out about it until tomorrow.

But, ah...does that creature have pokeball patterns on it?

[rhododendronhoney]

[She blinks a few times, then smiles slightly.] Ohhhhhhh. So this is going to be for a date, huh?

[The Amoonguss speaks up herself.] Yup! It's for camouflage!

Y-yes.

[Excuse him, he's kind of staring at the mushroom.]

I...wasn't aware there were pokemon who could talk.

[rhododendronhoney]

Well, Fern's special. Most of the other Pokemon I know don't talk. [Cori's got a fond smile on her face, though.]

Yeah! The Professor sent me to Cori to help her save both our worlds!

[Cori chuckles a little.] It was actually the first time I saw a Pokemon at all.

Ah, I see...I'm fairly new to them, as well. This is my second time meeting people from other worlds, and one of the people I met before has a Skarmory.

[rhododendronhoney]

Skarmory...I don't think I've met one of those before. [She nods a bit.] Fern's...pretty mushroomlike. She even grows actual mushrooms that I can use as ingredients sometimes.

Oh! [She claps her hands together.] But you mentioned wanting something as a surprise?

[foolishjustice]

That's right. Tomorrow's Valentine's Day by the local calendar, and I'd like to get my boyfriends some sort of confection. I doubt we have the supplies to make traditional chocolates, but I was wondering if you would be able to make a chocolate cake if I provided chocolate sauce.

[rhododendronhoney]

[Cori's eyes light up at the use of "boyfriends," plural, although she is trying to suppress her excitement. She doesn't want to overwhelm him too fast, since they're barely acquainted.]

Yeah! I think the kitchen has most of the ingredients I need too-that vanilla extract you made is the final touch I'd need. Do you want any specific decorations on it?

[That's better than the judgmental look he expects every time he mentions the polyamorous aspect...]

What I'm thinking of is probably a bit too complex...but do you think you could make one of those sectioned cakes? One of them isn't too fond of especially sweet things, but he enjoys spicy food, so I was thinking of adding hot sauce to a third of it.

[rhododendronhoney]

Well...I'd have to bake the sections separately, but I could definitely do that! Although most spicy cake recipes I know use cinnamon and cayenne pepper instead of hot sauce directly...I could probably make a glaze or something with it though. [She's looking pretty into this idea now.]

I didn't look too much into what sorts of seasonings we have available...I would prefer if the cake itself was spicy in this case, though, if you can manage it. Ah, could you mark that section off with red icing? And pink for the rest, of course.

[rhododendronhoney]

[Cori nods a little.] I can probably figure out some way to get that done. And coloring the frosting like that is definitely something I can do! [She gives him a thumbs-up, even.]

Do you think you could also mark it with some sort of cat imagery? I doubt it would be easy to work in all three of our animal themes in frosting, but a cat shouldn't be too complicated.

[rhododendronhoney]

[She nods.] I can probably work the pink part into that design as well, then... [She seems slightly lost in thought as she considers ideas.]

Some amount of black worked in would be nice, as well. I think pink gloves would be cute, though.

What do you mean by boosting our abilities? Like, in battle?

[rhododendronhoney]

[Cori nods enthusiastically.] Yeah...I can add all those. Colored icing's pretty much the easiest to do. Do you want it to have actual flavor of any kind, or just plain vanilla?

[rhododendronhoney]

Yeah! I can boost your everyday skills too, though-that's what I used to work on before I got called to help with the various breaches happening in my world. They're mostly temporary, though-although I can make meals that will boost your abilities for longer, it just takes more time.

I would like that to be chocolate, like the cake. And if the cat isn't too much trouble...do you think you could manage crow and fox imagery, too?

[She taps her chin a bit.] Well...not sure I can make it clear it's a crow and not some other similar-looking bird...but I can do my best.
