Does anyone here have experience tattooing? Or, failing that, a steady hand, ability to trace lines, and lack of squeamishness about needles?

It's a little strange, seeing people talking so openly about getting tattoos. They're not the sort of thing you talk about publicly where I'm from.

It was considered a bit odd in my era, but one can get away with any number of oddities as a king so long as the country is running smoothly. In Noctis' era, it's a mark of dedication and, to some extent, status. Many of those in service to the crown would have at least one, and Shields traditionally were inked upon most of the torso.

In Japan, they're heavily associated with organized crime. You don't see a lot of people with tattoos unless they're associated with the Yakuza, and some onsen even have policies barring people with them from entry.
