I'm sure this request is no more odd than any other that's graced the network so far, but I'm in want of a sparring partner or two. If we're to end up in a Fissure more dangerous than the last, I would want to be able to stand on my own and it's easier to train alongside your comrades.

If anyone is interested, feel free to approach me at any time.

If anyone is also interested in learning how to cook without burning the kitchen down or ruining it, feel free to approach me as well. The smell of burning...whatever it may be lingers, and it's no trouble to cook for others if need be or lend some guidance.

What...are you gifted at? Fighting-wise. [Is this guy blind or does he see, he's aware that Ignis used to not be blind. And that timelines are weird and inconsistent things in the multiverse.]

I did totally set the kitchen on fire once. Not here, I mean, but. Back in the other place. Can you work with 'can't make pancakes even when he follows a recipe'?

My weapons of choice would be a tie between daggers and polearms - as well as a generous amount of elemancy. Not many dangers on Eos can be fought with just your fists. [Which doesn't really answer that blind or not blind question once, huh.]

My most difficult student has been Noctis - and while that's not great, I can give you a pass. Pancakes are simple, but more difficult than you would expect.

I'm proficient in guns. [No you're the fuck not.] But I've had to try adapting to...not-guns. I mean I'm good with a giant-ass shield in a pinch, but I kinda wanna do the actual fighting, too, you know? I've mostly done punchy punchy handheld sparring rather than with weapons, but I've been trying to practice with swords.

Not that anyone should ever bring a sword to a gunfight. But.

Man. Noctis can't cook for shit, either? I guess I'm not surprised... Not like he really woulda had to cook for himself.

I've seen several soldiers with guns taken down by swords and knives and all sorts of blades. It's all a matter of skill and speed.

I don't necessarily disagree, but also, unless you're chucking those things from a distance, I feel like a bullet is gonna win that fight a lot of the time? But I do keep being told I'm wrong on that account. So. I mean I'm not concerned for my wellbeing when it comes to sparring. [Or to Ignis.] I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The typical style of combat favored by Lucian royalty tends to heavily favor throwing weapons great distances - if the former Chancellor is the one telling you that, that would be why. [Is it weird to be talking about your husband using a title hasn't used in years? Probably.] But if you insist you'll be fine, I'm sure you will be.

Ardyn. [It isn't sharp, because Ignis...isn't wrong, but just. A mild correction.] Yeah, he throws his shit around all the time. If he can throw a sword and warp into someone's head at 500 yards, though, I'll be really impressed

Though...what happens if something goes through you at warp? You're still physically there, just...moving super fast.

Considering what Ardyn is capable of, I would not be surprised if he could do such a thing or figure out a way to make it more plausible. [He accepts the correction, even though he's still not...quite sure where he stands with Ardyn and his extended family.
