I'm sure this request is no more odd than any other that's graced the network so far, but I'm in want of a sparring partner or two. If we're to end up in a Fissure more dangerous than the last, I would want to be able to stand on my own and it's easier to train alongside your comrades.
If anyone is interested, feel free to approach me at any time.
If anyone is also interested in learning how to cook without burning the kitchen down or ruining it, feel free to approach me as well. The smell of burning...whatever it may be lingers, and it's no trouble to cook for others if need be or lend some guidance.

A wry grin crosses his face, and he rubs his hand along the back of his neck.] It was, admittedly, not a very clever nickname. But a bit more descriptive than simply going by "Iggy".
[Which is a yes, he did wear glasses, had needed them pretty badly in fact! And now, well. They keep the damage from being incredibly obvious.]
no subject
Eh... Iggy sounds kind of cute, if you ask me.
[ BLUNT, AS EVER, WHEN HE WANTS TO BE... ]
... I can't say I've ever had a nickname, myself. Unless you count the name I've been using for the past ten years, on some technicality, I suppose.
no subject
I'm not sure cute is a word I would have picked, but... [Ah. He's not sure if this is something he should be flustered over - it's not like Aiden is saying he's cute, after all?
Or he at least...assumes as much.]
I'm sure you'll get one, in due time. [He smooths back his hair, even though it's... it's still flawless.] At least, if you happen to become close with Prompto. He's rather fond of nicknames.
no subject
Anyway, he notes the flustered emotions, and there's a moment where the smallest smirk of amusement surfaces behind one hand. He actually wouldn't have taken this guy for someone who flusters easily, but then he's still learning all the different kinds of people, around here.
... Funny just how different so many of them are, from those back on Daeseon. Funny, and yet... kind of really nice? He certainly won't be complaining, anytime soon, at least. ]
I'm not sure how much you could do with a name like mine. There's "aid" and there's "den" and neither are fitting for someone like me.
[ And he's slowly realizing that was probably a stupid thing to up and say to this guy, but... well, whatever. ]
Prompto's one of those I've yet to sit and talk to, just yet. But, he's someone important to Noctis, I take it? I recall seeing a video of them on the network.
no subject
(He supposes Izunia is right and he is an attractive man. Hmm. It never seemed all that important or relevant, before, but it keeps coming up.)]
I'm sure there's plenty of aid you can provide for people, though I will admit it's a poor nickname. [There's an amused huff.] They've been close since before we came here, and now they seem to have...
[He waves a hand.]
They're happy.
no subject
Doubtful - I'm nowhere near as talented as most of the people I've seen around here. I'm good for the same thing most of you already are. [ a small frown ] ...
[ Onto... that bit about Noctis and Prompto!!! ]
Anyway, in a place like this, finding happiness is ideal. It's good they have each other... especially when they were friends, even before this.
[ Not to be seen or heard: a twinge of jealousy that he's forcing down and actively ignoring. Also: ]
What about you?
no subject
[So you can still provide things, even if you don't think you can.]
They had been friends since high school. I'm glad they can be here together.
[And...oh. That's very forward, Aiden.]
What about me...? I don't have anyone like that, if that's what you're asking...?
no subject
It's actually just now dawning on Aiden that Prompto and Noctis are likely more than just friends. And it's right as that thought settles in-- ]
A-ah... Wh-...
[ Pardon him as he covers his face as a sort of... knee jerk reaction to turning this red. ]
I just-... I was asking if you have anyone here you're friends with. I just now realized they're-... probably more... So, I wasn't necessarily meaning-! [ OH GODS JUST KILL HIM NOW; WHY IS HE THIS FLUSTERED??? h-help ] Though, I can't see you, of all people, being- single--
[
Yep, that's it. That's the awkward point he's cutting off on. ]
no subject
Oh, no.
That is-
Oh.
It seems Ignis has...misinterpreted things.
He clears his throat, awkwardly.]
I know the both of them from home, and I'm also familiar with Ravus, Ardyn, and Izunia.
[H....eh...]
But, ah, yes, Noctis and Prompto are...together.
[He will just......delicately ignore that last bit for you sake, Aiden.]
no subject
Aiden can feel an awkward tension in the air, and that certainly isn't helping his own feelings calm the hell down. Fortunately, he manages anyway... somehow. ]
You have a pretty big group from your world here, then...
[ There's an incredibly awkward pause here. If he really is implying he comes from the same world as Izunia, then... ]
It would seem... we come from worlds that are very similar, then. [ . . . ] Would it be too presumptuous to assume gods and darkness are a sticky subject for you, as well?
no subject
Yes... It seems we are one of the few exceptions of being alone in a new place.
[He believes some others are from the same world, or similar, but he doesn't know them well enough now to say for sure.
Hearing their words are similar, and hearing the question about gods and Darkness...]
You could say that. [Only at the throne can the Chosen receive it, and only at the cost of a life: his own.] A world of darkness is in store for me, if I am to return home.
no subject
... The gods are to blame for your world going into ten years of darkness, yes?
[ Izunia told him... a lot, to say the least. ]
I just ask, because... the situation isn't too different, on Daeseon. Only, in the case of that world, it's because our sun is dying. We've been in darkness for well over a hundred years, and there's no telling how much time we have left. We haven't... figured out the solution, yet.
[ But...! Deep breath!!! ]
We don't have to talk about it anymore, if you're not comfortable. I know we're still practically strangers... and...
[ Annnnd now he's just. Going to fidget with the hair tie on his wrist for a moment... ]
no subject
[It's easy enough to blame them. It's their Star that's been tainted, but the gods could not, would not, do anything to stop it after deeming a man the Accursed.]
In ten years time, the world will...be purged of it's daemons. The dawn will come, which is...much different from your sun dying.
[There's a furrow of concern to his brows. That doesn't seem like something a man could change, but...
Gods would do nothing, either. Even if Aiden's had the ability to change things.]
But it's fine. It's probably best we all understand each other, having to live in such close quarters.
no subject
[ He's quiet for a moment. ]
Well, then... How about we talk more after this match?
no subject
[But he nods.]
Don't hold back on my account.
no subject
Are you implying I'd think there's a reason to hold back? Last I checked, you seem like a person who's serious about learning to stand on his own against difficult Fissures.
no subject
[He shifts, getting ready to fight, but he seems...pleased? Definitely pleased.]
no subject
Coddling you wouldn't do you any favors for whenever you're up against someone who doesn't give a damn about a lack of sight. Besides, from what I've seen, you're more capable than most people with sight.
[ And, with that, he's getting into position, as well! ]
