As mentioned earlier I've no real preference.

Which seems to be the norm, in my world; it's accepted, but so is the idea that when you grow up you'll marry one of your lovers - one of the opposite sex - and raise children together.

And, for that matter, that you won't father children with any of your other lovers, although the poorer you are the less anyone actually cares about half-sisters if they pitch in at harvest. It's a matter of primogeniture - of who next wears the crown.
