Hello, everyone! My apologies for not introducing myself sooner. My name is Strange, and I serve as the station's medical officer.

[This, presumably, would explain why they were RATHER BUSY in the aftermath of the Fissure expedition. Cough, cough.]

And on that note, I'd like it if everyone could stop by the medical lab for a moment or two, when you have the chance. I just want to do a check to ensure that no one's suffering any ill effects from the Fissure. There will be nothing invasive or nasty, I promise.

I'd also like to speak to Noctis, if you have time available.

No, nothing new magic-wise. Didn't even find anything all that magic-ish. Except those crystals that knocked a person down, I suppose.

Do you know the magical signature of the fissures before we go in?

We have some preliminary idea, but it's hard to get exact details with the instruments we have. The Fissure around the Station was mostly light-associated, with a bit of wind and water from the surrounding environment thrown in.

The only thing that seemed like it had anything to do with light was the big glowing bird we took down. Is that what you mean by light-associated?

That was one of the things, yes. There were also some manifestations of the sunlight on the Glitterstone beaches...

[Stone considers that, then shrugs.]

Well, nothing like that is happening to me. All that happened was I got enough to eat finally, and I found some really random shit out there. Not what you'd expect to find in a beach and some caves.

I imagine whatever you found probably came through the Fissure's distortions. We've got quite a number of things like that at the station already - Top tends to hoard anything mechanical and Charm and I both have a fondness for books.

So there are books around here somewhere?

[He's asked after useful ones before, but that had been in the context of learning specific things. Now he's just kind of bored and looking for interesting distractions.]

I only wound up with a flower and some tunics in a funny color.

[The plates have already wound up in the kitchen or for trade. What does he need with a bunch of plates?]

We've mostly got them packed away in storage boxes. I know Top and Up were talking about making a space for them properly, though, now that there's more than just us hanging around.

[That gets Stone's attention. So he asks, a little hopefully,]

A library?

[Raksura do, in fact, have libraries. Mostly the mentors and consorts are the only ones who use them, but they do have them.]

With probably some more casual places to sit and read thrown in. I heard some news about a stash of beanbags.

[Strange smiles a little.]

Can't tell you for sure when to expect it, though.

I guess until then I'll just chase those damn birds around and nap on the roof. And figure out how not to kill a flower. I know basically how to farm, but a flower in a pot isn't the same as a whole field.

Bottom can probably help there, if you want. They've always been pretty good with growing things. And I'll see if I can't get those books out of storage before Top and Up finish that project of theirs.
