The reason for this makes itself clear about ten minutes later when a video pops up instead. It's Violet, as is probably expected but what's even stranger is the absolute mess her hair is in. It's usually at least passably neat, but right now it sort of looks like she was dragged backwards through several hedges. This isn't helped at all by the fact that one of her hands is tangled up in it, hair snarled and snagged in the joints and the metal.



Violet, for her part, looks mostly unconcerned. Mostly. ]

... Is there anyone available who can provide some assistance?

[ she doesn't seem to think it needs explaining just what with. ]

Or if no one is available... does anyone on the station have a pair of scissors?

[ There's a bit of understandable fumbling on the other side of the door and then it slides open. Lo, it's Violet, with her disaster hair. You've arrived just in time, Prompto. ]

Is it really so serious an issue? I wasn't expecting to cause such a panic.

I was braiding my hair, and my hand became... tangled.

[ This is an understatement, to say the least. Her hair and fingers are locked in a passionate embrace, like a pair of starcrossed lovers finally reunited at the end of a trashy romance novel. ]

But there's no need to worry. It will grow back.

It must've taken you so long to grow your hair out that long, and it's so soft and nice! No, we're saving it. Leave it to me!

[ She looks a little puzzled by all the fuss, but... well, if it means so much to Prompto, then it wouldn't hurt to let him find a non-scissor-using solution to this. Probably. ]

[ She nods and then winces when all this does is tug on her poor hair some more. ]

[He examines the problem area carefully and then, by hand, starts to try to unknot and untangle her hair from her joints.]

It sounds like Prompto's got it handled, though. He's pretty good with engines and stuff, he helps out in here sometimes, so it'll probably be fine.
