Hey, this is Pidonus Marasia. I'm trying to figure out my goals and motivations and such a bit while I'm here, because the more I'm reviewing the situation, the more likely it is that it's gonna be quite some time before we find my world and I can return to my Queen. So, I gotta come up with motivations for myself,
I guess? Other than, you know, the dungeons. Which have some very weird loot, to say the least...

Anyways! I'd kinda like to try and get some, well, minions for myself. People willing to let me influence their minds into long-term servitude. Key word there is willing, because as quite a few people here have emphasized, it'd be a mistake for me to just take people's wills with my seductive powers.

Of course, anyone who would voluntarily agree to being under my spell is someone with clear and very severe issues. Like, if your mindstate's bad enough that "under the maniplation of a Succubus" qualifies to your own perception as an improvement... I mean, whatever floats your boat I guess, but I'm pretty sure in some cities that would legally qualify you as 'kind of insane'.

So, uh... What does that leave? I genuinely don't know. I'm. Sorta new to the whole 'need to have my own motivations' thing, and the Chaotic and Evil subtypes unto themselves don't do a lot for giving me ideas.

I'm pretty sure that's most humans. Like, the vast majority. Good for civilizations.

Demons like me, on the other hand, are creatures of Chaos. We develop the tendencies needed to survive in a dog-eat-dog metaphor - so having lessers who are quite thoroughly under your thumb is a standard practice. How that expresses from individual to individual varies immensely. Some go super-ambitious and become Demon Lords. Others like me don't want that kinda mess. I'm mostly in the latter category.

I won't lie, that sounds like a pretty miserable existence to me.

Possibly? But for what we've been made to be...

Are what you're made to be and what you want to be the same thing? It sounds to me like you already know better...

I'm made for a purpose, ultimately. That purpose is Evil. I can theoretically grow past it, except for the part where my Queen would destroy me.

A ruler who keeps her subjects in line with fear is no ruler worth following.

[Wren doesn't know that's what happened, so she just assumes Pidonus was thinking extra hard about it or something. That also means she doesn't know she might as well be speaking to thin air at this point.]

May I ask precisely why?

My Queen generously ensured I would get that which I most desired - vengeance against the demon lord responsible for the massacre of my village.

My servitude continuing beyond that is naught but proper gratitude.

I see. And what manner of boon did she grant you to make this possible?

[Well. Now that Akechi's clued her in, the sudden shift in demeanor seems pretty obvious. Yet she's still here, so... Wren's just gonna keep probing. Worst-case scenario, Pidonus 'resets' again and that's the end of that.]

I'm not particularly impressed, myself. I'm trying to think of ways to remove that influence, but it might take some time before the most likely one to work as intended is feasible.
