I know one can be furious with someone they care about and yet not detest them. Difficult, but not unthinkable. But is it possible to ever learn to stop hating someone, when that anger is justified yet supposedly built on the foundation of a misunderstanding?

For starters, and going entirely without context, I'd think it depends on how badly you want to.

I feel as if I want to try. But I don't know if the attempt will yield results, or if it simply can't be accomplished.

Pretty much everything we do in life comes without any guarantees attached. As someone from the mall I was in said about me and another person:

"If you die for the wrong thing, at least you died standing for something."

I think that logic can apply to a lot of things. As long as you believe in what you're trying for, at least you tried.

You're right. I don't care for uncertainties, but uncertainty itself is rather just part of living.

And I guess playing it safe or refusing to take risks never got anyone anywhere.

It wasn't until after I started breaking the law and fighting back against society, I realized that playing it safe wouldn't have resulted in real happiness. At least, not the kind of happiness that I felt from saving an entire world.

... I'm not saying that I believe recklessness and refusing to play it safe is always the right answer, but sometimes you just really have to listen to what your gut is screaming.
